Using Peer Networking and Faculty Mentoring
- Provide opportunities for student-peer networking and faculty mentoring. Use topics such as stress and social embededness to help students connect with other students and the community.
- Invite successful sophomores, juniors, and seniors to engage in conversation with First Year Seminar students in one session with no administrators of faculty present, thus providing students with an opportunity to hear tips on success from those who are succeeding.
- Have the most approachable TA or professor meet with students at some point for free-for-all on what bugs them about the College or University, with no consequences.
