Teach@ASU - A Component of New Faculty Orientation Week at ASU

Monday, August 18, 2008
Tempe campus

Teach@ASU, a component of New Faculty Orientation Week, focuses on teaching. Coordinated by ASU’s Center for Learning and Teaching Excellence, with participation from a range of university offices, this focus takes the form of workshops on a variety of teaching subjects such as the multicultural classroom, construction of a course syllabus, interactive lecturing, myASU (Blackboard), etc.

The day begins with faculty joining members of the Distinguished Teaching Academy for breakfast in the University Club for a discussion of the life of the teacher-scholar at ASU. Breakfast is followed by a series of concurrent workshops. Faculty members may attend selected workshops, or may attend for the entire day.

Registration for the breakfast and Teach@ASU workshops will open on this Web site in early June.
