I am always looking to find a way to use cooperative learning in a course, versus me standing there imparting knowledge to my students. I feel like if I can stand beside them and assist them in their learning—and I feel like that’s what cooperative learning does—then they will learn much more effectively. They will understand what they are learning better, and they will have more confidence in the fact that they know it. I look for different methods of applying to different topics. I’m always looking for some new ideas in some new way to incorporate cooperative learning. It is my preferred method and lecturing is my last resort.
