Implementing Cooperative Learning -

Facilitating in the Classroom
Facilitating in the A/CL classroom is quite different than managing a lecture. All of our participants agreed on the importance of monitoring teams after introducing the team activity, but opinions differed slightly as to how and why a faculty member should intervene when teams get off-track. All experts and faculty stressed the importance of debriefing team activities to check for understanding and ensure individual accountability.
