After
receiving both his MS and Ph.D. from the University of
Minnesota, Dr. Jeff Froyd stayed at his alma mater as a
Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering for
two years before moving to The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology, where he spent twenty years in the Department of
Electrical Engineering. During that time, he took a one
year sabbatical to work in the industry as a Senior Systems
Engineer for Applied Computing Devices. He also spent time
at Texas A&M University as a Visiting Professor. Since
January of 2001, Dr. Froyd has been at A&M on a permanent
basis, serving as the Project Director of the Foundation
Coalition and as the Director of Academic Development in the
Dwight Look College of Engineering. His main contributions
to the Foundation Coalition have been in the areas of
curriculum integration, managing change, technology-enabled
integration, and learning communities. Dr. Froyd has
received awards for both teaching and research and has been
awarded several grants and contracts.
