I use cooperative learning in every class, basically. One of the disadvantages of a cooperative learning class is students get so used to it that they lose the ability sometimes to sit through long lectures. And I lose the ability to lecture for long periods of time coherently. Every day there’s got to be some kind of activity where students are interacting with the content. If they’re not interacting with the content, they’re basically not learning it.
